Services Offered by Dr. Quarterman
- CONSULTATION - This is an office visit where you and Dr. Quarterman have a detailed conversation about your health in general and your breast issues in particular. You both ask questions. Dr. Quarterman will examine you. At the end of the visit, she will have addressed your breast issues and questions and provided a recommended plan for your future breast health.
- SURGERY - As a breast surgeon, Dr. Quarterman performs many procedures for breast health. These include: lumpectomy, mastectomy (total, skin sparing and nipple sparing), axillary lymph node dissection, axillary sentinel lymph node biopsy, duct excision, abscess drainage, cyst removal, placement of radiation therapy devices
- ULTRASOUND - This imaging technique uses sound waves to view the breast tissue. It is helpful for several things, including evaluation of complaints and for clarifying findings on mammography. Dr. Quarterman may offer you an ultrasound examination or ultrasound-guided procedure in the office. She is accredited by the American Society of Breast Surgeons to perform breast ultrasound.
- PRODUCTS – Dr. Quarterman is partnered with Amoena and Gentle Touch Recovery Products to provide her patients with postsurgical garments, breast forms and prostheses, mastectomy bras and more. She also works with Uberlube to provide women with products for personal comfort.
- HEREDITARY CANCER GENETICS CONSULTATION & TESTING - As a breast cancer surgeon, Dr. Quarterman has been thinking about and testing for genetic mutations for over a decade. She understands the valuable health benefits of genetic testing to her patients and their families.
